During the campaign I lost count of how many times we were told we had the 5th biggest economy in the world and of course, how we should vote leave and take control. Well people did that on June 23rd and by the following day we had fallen to the 6th largest economy in the world with France taking our place, according to the Chartered Institute of Public Finance (HERE).
Sterling's small recovery has probably helped to bring us back again but bear in mind a couple of things. Some economists are forecasting further falls in the value of the pound, perhaps down to $1.20 by the year end and many see a slowdown of not a recession, all of which means we will almost certainly drop to 7th behind India which has a growth rate of about 7.9%.
Prospering like never before.
