Things have been busy this weekend with the Conservative party conference starting in Birmingham. Mrs May gave a speech announcing the Article 50 letter would go before the end of March 2017 and saying informal talks with the EU should begin now.
Donald Tusk, president of the council, within hours tweeted (HERE) that:
“Once Article 50’s triggered, EU27 will engage to safeguard its interests.”
In other words, as the EU have made clear all along no negotiations formal or informal before Article 50 is triggered. It is as if we are totally deaf to everything the EU say and we simply keep trying the same failed approach.
